GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
This position ensures that credit card processing functions related to patient prescriptions are processed accurately, efficiently, and timely in complete accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
- Contact patients as required to obtain permission to send higher priced orders
- Apply adjustments to orders, where applicable, before shipping
- Work with Revenue Operations (ROPs) to ensure communication and correct and complete information
- Work with patients to obtain payments so that orders may continue to ship
- Work closely with other pharmacy teammates to ensure all orders are processed timely and accurately
- Clearly and concisely document all actions taken on each order to ensure all other pharmacy teammates know the current status of each order
- Maintain accurate and current information as required for tracking and quality assurance purposes
- Answer and respond to calls regarding OCCP related issues in courteous, professional manner
- Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position
- Other duties as assigned including but not limited to:
- Able to work overtime with little or no notice as needed
- Attend staff meetings, teleconferences and patient care conferences as needed

(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required):
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years' experience in electronic medical claims billing, preferably in a retail or mail order pharmacy required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) preferred
- Medical Collections experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid and commercial payers
- Demonstrated ability to work with high volume production teams with an emphasis on quality
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook
- Prior experience using RxExpress highly desirable
