Medical Collectors

University Radiology Group, one of Central New Jersey’s leading imaging practices, is looking for experienced Medical Collectors to work with us Monday – Friday from 8am to 4pm in our East Brunswick Business Office. Two positions are available:

1. Managed Care Insurance Collector

· Individual will manage and perform follow-up on the account receivables for URG

· Monitor and report accounts receivable challenges to appropriate parties

· Will understand and resolve rejections, denials, insufficient payments unpaid claims

· Complete paperwork/appeals to initiate billing corrections and perform related duties as assigned

· Work correspondence daily

· Maintains confidentiality of all patient information

· General/overall knowledge of CPT/ICD9

· Maintain basic proficiency with using spreadsheet

· Must be able to work a minimum of 75 accounts daily.

2. Self-Pay Collector

· Performs various collection actions including contacting patients and insurance by phone or website

· Correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers and prepares information for the collection agency

· Collects delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitoring payments and following up with patients when payment lapses occur

· Accurately entering and/or updating patient demographics, insurance information and any other information that may pertain to the account

· Ability to analyze AR, communicate challenges and opportunities to the management team as well as contribute with own ideas and solutions

· Handles correspondence daily

· Must be able to follow upon 70 accounts at a minimum a day

· Accomplish projects as a team member or individual as assigned

· Comply with established policies and procedure, objectives, HIPAA and safety standards

Qualified candidates must also maintain a positive attitude in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. Candidates should be able to work independently with limited supervision and also be able to work as part of a team. Bilingual English Spanish is a plus.
