We are currently seeking Medical Cost Reviewers for our Medical Review Services office located in Schaumburg, Illinois.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews billing for pertinent Workers Compensation rules and regulations. Accepts and keys bills into the system for all clients to produce a final review for recommendation of payment to the client. Quality and quantity of work is measured by daily managerial review.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma is required. A College degree is preferred. A minimum of 1-3 year’s data entry experience in medical claims and/or billing is required. Must have the ability to work in a high production environment and a 10-key speed of 10,000 characters per hour with accuracy is required. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding is also required. Specific industry experience such as a background in state worker’s compensation fee schedule is strongly preferred.
