A high-growth medical device company operating in the cardiovascular space is expanding its marketing department and is adding a Senior Product Manager in a newly created, global position. Our client is a profitable, dynamic medical technology organization with a product line that has enjoyed double-digit revenue growth each of the past five years. Based in the wine country north of San Francisco, they are removed from the crowds and high cost of the Bay area but are close enough to get there quickly. Responsibilities:
The Manager / Senior Manager will have the opportunity to develop and implement marketing strategies for a line of innovative products for the interventional cardiology market. This is a downstream, global marketing role where you will work closely with country-manager counterparts to help than adapt the global strategy for their own regions. The products are used to treat peripheral vascular disease and include a high profile drug-eluting balloon that is first in class. Working in a cross-functional matrix structure you will create and execute product launch plans and serve as the commercial lead on the launch teams.
Specific duties include market segmentation, product positioning, branding, pricing, and sales rep training. You will also plan and attend Trade Shows and Advisory Boards, and be responsible for advocate development and Key Opinion Leader strategy. Other duties include budgeting, forecasting and working with the internal Marketing Communications team. This is a broadly defined assignment on a small marketing team and you will “wear many hats;” projects will vary significantly from week to week. A partial telecommuting arrangement is available for this assignment; overnight travel is estimated at 40% including internationally.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
• 5+ years of work experience in the Medical Technology industry
• 2+ years of in-house marketing experience in the interventional vascular market (cardiovascular, endovascular, or neurovascular experience)
• Evidence of successful product launch experience
• Bachelor’s degree or better is required; MBA is preferred
