Job Summary:

MedAssurant is seeking to hire a Medical Director, who will provide clinical leadership and support for the planning, design, development, and implementation of the broad set of analytical programs, products, and services MedAssurant delivers to healthcare organizations across the country The Medical Director will join MedAssurant’s Clinical Operations team as a subject matter expert in clinical care, to ensure that MedAssurant’s offerings reflect evidence-based based practices. Fluency in Spanish and English languages required. 

Responsibilities: 

·         Serve as a primary source of clinical insight, knowledge, and perspective regarding MedAssurant’s service delivery, training, and quality programs;

·         Assist in the design and development of clinical reviewer training, testing, quality assessment, and measurement procedures for clinical review personnel;

·         Serve as a lead resource for custom clinical project review, assessment, pricing, and intake processes;

·         Assist in the development, review, customization, implementation, and support of custom clinical studies, quality improvement programs, disease management, medical informatics analytics, and other such product and service lines that the Company has or may develop;

·         Serve as a representative of the Company in presenting clinical (and associated) components of the Company’s products, services, and general mission;

·         Serve as a clinical point of contact between the Company and its current, past, or potential clients, government organizations, regulatory bodies, and other industry persons;

Requirements: 

 

·         A degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school;

 

·         Strong clinical knowledge and experience, and familiarity with best practices standards, healthcare research and related literature;

 

·         Must be fluent in Spanish and English languages;

 

·         Board certification is strongly preferred;

 

·         Experience in medical informatics, healthcare administration, managed care organizations, consulting firms or government agencies is a plus;

 

·         A background in disease management, clinical and quality outcomes measurement and improvement, epidemiology, or medical administration is also desirable.
