Medical Officer with Right of Private Practice (MORPP) – Division of Rural Health and Aged Care, Laidley Hospital, Laidley, and Esk Hospital, Esk, West Moreton Health Service District. Remuneration value up to $207 922 p.a., comprising salary between $115 030 - $122 106 p.a. (MOR 1-1 to MOR1-3), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover, private practice arrangements plus overtime and on-call allowances, inaccessibility incentive paid at completion of each 12 months service. (Two positions. Applications will remain current for 12 months)

 

Duties/Abilities: The Medical Officer with Right of Private Practice (MORPP) will be responsible for the provision of efficient quality medical services to inpatients and outpatients of the Esk and Laidley Health Services including the provision of 24 hour emergency department coverage on a rostered basis.

The recent District merger has brought a closer working relationship between Gatton Hospital and Laidley Hospital.  The role includes involvement and active participation in developing a sustainable model for both services which may include shared rosters, on-calls and responsibilities for inpatients and outpatients in both hospitals.
