Job Description:

Medical Science Liaison - South East Territory - FL, GA, SC
Medical Science Liaison - North Atlantic Territory - PA, NJ, DE, NYC

1.)           MSL Experience

2.)           Specialized experience

3.)           Lysosomal Storage Disorders (Rare and/or Orphan Diseases) required

4.)           Fabry Experience is ideal

Other Requirements:

Travel up to 60% (possible nights and weekends) domestic and international

Drivers license

Education Experience Requirements:

*         Completion of a graduate level degree (Pharm.D., M.D., or Ph.D.) with relevant residency and/or fellowship experience is preferred, but not required.

*         Experience with drug therapy positioning with a track record of influencing others to make accurate and effective therapeutic decisions required.

Graduate degree preferred, but minimum BS degree with Clinical, Medical Affairs, Genetic Counselor or other specialized experience considered

Primary Role:

Develop strong product advocacy through KOL development (Focused on Fabry Disease/Fabry Community) by delivering quality medical education to internal and external stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

*        Identify, build and leverage relationships with national, regional, and local thought leaders.

*        Identify and develop key thought leaders for medical education and clinical research opportunities.

*         Forge early groundwork for product launches with key patient advocacy groups

*         Develop and execute tactics for disease state awareness programs and activities

*         Provide input and participate in cross-functional initiatives.

*         Develop strategic thought leader plans to provide needs-based, value-added services and to improve their advocacy.

*         Deliver quality medical education presentations in a variety of settings and to obtain valuable feedback that can be disseminated throughout the organization.

*         Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence from multiple sources.

*         Provide field-based medical support to clinical research programs (Focus on Replagal).

*         Serving as a conduit to identify potential investigators and clinical trial sites

*         Assist in key activities for phase I/II - IV studies

*         Work with Outcome Surveys (Fabry Outcome Survey or FOS) on key deliverables for OS that are in alignment with corporate objectives

*         Participate in internal therapeutic advisory groups and project teams.

*         Complete accurate and timely administrative reports, projects, and required documentation requests.

*         Additional developmental and leadership responsibilities (20%) to include:

 

o        Generates new ideas and constantly searches for novel applications of development plan strategies and tactics

o         Fosters teamwork within the area to achieve strategic objectives

o         Encourages an environment leading to positive performance among colleagues and internal customers, and supports both individual and overall program success.

o         Is a mentor for other MSL team members

o         Assist and augment training development of  field based medical science liaisons

o         Assist Associate MSL Director and MSL Director with development and implementation of strategic plans and objectives

o         Assist with dissemination of sound direction to medical liaison team to implement tactics necessary to achieve outcomes in a timely and professional manner

o         Actively guides contributions of cross-functional project teams

o         Able to assist with operational aspects of regional activities
