Specific Job Description Position is in support of the operations for Lockheed Martin's enterprise wide Health and Wellness medical centers network. This position is as a Regional Managing Physician (RMP). RMP responsibilities will require oversight for wellness centers in Marietta, GA, Greenville, SC, Orlando, Ocala and Oldsmar, FL. Regional Managing Physician position: -Manages all day-to-day medical and administrative operations of company on-site Wellness Centers within the geographic region(s) to which s/he is assigned. -Delivers Health and Wellness? range of programs, including urgent and emergent care, minor acute (first contact) care, support of chronic condition management, testing, screenings and immunizations, work ability evaluations, and health promotion as delineated within LM HealthWorks facilities, and supervises NP/PAs who provide care under his/her supervision. -Coordinates and champions engagement and health education/promotion efforts across the region by interfacing with employees and leadership and integrating staff efforts with grass roots wellness activities and the Health Wellness Health Promotions Team. - Provides a core Occupational Medicine Program across the region including supervision and monitoring of new hire and exposure-based medical surveillance examinations. -Delivers appropriate medical care and oversight for the site?s workers compensation cases to include completion of impairment ratings, work ability and fitness for work, and objective medical evaluations. -Takes an active role in reducing the site?s injury severity rate to the extent medically appropriate, and is actively engaged in work ability and fitness for work recommendation decisions. -Provides direct and indirect supervisory support to the regional clinical and administrative staff. -Demonstrates sound independent judgment related to employee?s health care and safety. -Supports Pandemic Planning, medical evacuations, and other disaster related medical activities of site and directs the implementation of these plans locally. -Provides clinical support for travel medicine activities. -Provides advice on ADA medical accommodations if requested for site employees. -Must be able to professionally interact with a variety of patients, employees and other Wellness Center clients/vendors. -Acts as a regional representative at all Wellness center Operations leadership meetings. -Some travel may be required. Position's preferred location is in Marietta, GA, but consideration will be given to Orlando, Florida. Standard Job Description Manages the diagnosis and treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries of employees and conducts fitness-for-duty physical examination. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Manages the company's internal employee-oriented medical activities by conducting pre-employment physicals, check-ups, treatment of work-connected illnesses, and providing medical and surgical care in industrial accident or disease cases. May recommend medical and health policies to avoid injury and disease. Carries out duties and responsibilities consistent with local laws and regulations. Requires an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school. Board certification in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, or internal medicine sub-specialty, Family Practice, Primary Care, Physical Medicine/Rehabilitation, or Emergency Medicine. Possession of an active license, in good standing, to practice medicine at least in the state(s) of employment and practice. Current state drug and federal DEA certification. Ability to be credentialed as a health care provider. Requires some supervisory experience in a related setting.
