Job Title Medical Technologist Float Clinic Facility Aurora Advanced Healthcare, Inc.-391 Address 12203 N Corporate Pkwy City Mequon State WI County Ozaukee Zip Code 53092 # Hours Per Pay Period (Bi-weekly) 64 Schedule Float schedule so days and hours vary as needed Weekend Hours: 1 in 4 weekends, Sunday only at East Mequon Clinic Req # (optional) 89068BR Explore a Career In Laboratory Job Description Imagine yourself.... *Performing, evaluating, and monitoring laboratory tests as authorized within established protocols, selecting and performing additional procedures when indicated. *Following prescribed policy in the reporting and notification of test results. *Performing and documenting calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment. *Performing and documenting quality control. *Recognizing indicators of test and/or instrument malfunction. and implementing appropriate corrections. *Ascertaining that specimens are properly labeled and suitable for testing. *Collecting specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients according to established protocol. *Providing general direction and technical assistance to medical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, and support personnel. *Assisting in the development of education and training protocols. Instructing students, residents and new personnel as assigned. *Assisting in improving the quality and efficiency of laboratory procedures, policies, and processes. *Ensuring compliance with all accrediting agency standards. *Documenting all appropriate information for quality assurance/improvement according to established protocol. This float is for home region 2: Port Washington Clinic, East Port Washington Clinic, West Mequon Clinic, Cedar Creek Clinic.
