SUMMARY –
The position will be responsible for negotiating and managing corporate meeting space for US and Canadian class schedules. Employee will be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships and for communicating internally with other departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Source, book and cancel meeting space for Open Enrollment classes in specific product lines (to include ordering catering and AV) as needed
- Negotiate costs with suppliers; review and sign event contracts
- Maintain the company-specified benchmark for evaluations
- Troubleshoot any facility problems, and hold vendors accountable
- Field and resolve instructor complaints
- Facilitate room rental inquiries from clients, reserve space at training centers, and create event contracts
- Other administrative duties, as needed, to include creating purchase orders and resolving invoice discrepancies

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Four year degree or equivalent industry experience in a similar position for a minimum of 3 years. Certified Meeting Professional certification is a plus.
