International Newsmedia Marketing Association (INMA) seeks Marketing and Membership Manager to acquire and retain members.

Marketing Planning, Operations, Management
- Create annual marketing plan
- Coordinate with staff to execute marketing plan on daily, weekly basis.
- Work with Executive Director on marketing strategies.
- Work with graphic design and editorial teams for new reports, membership collaterals, Web sites, more
Membership Acquisition
- Create and implement member acquisition plan.
- Proactively pursue new leads for individual memberships.
- Work with Executive Director on promotional strategies and execution of corporate memberships.
Membership Engagement, Management and Retention
- Create and execute marketing plan to improve digital engagement of members.
- Manage corporate dues renewal process, including communications plan.
- Manage individual dues renewal process, including communications plan.
- Respond to member service requests, resolve issues.
Database
- Maintain accurate membership database.
- Update database based on membership efforts.
- Prepare database lists to creatively target individuals/groups for messaging and outreach.
- Perform data cleanup relating to membership information, member types, company types and industry changes.
Sponsorships
- Manage existing sponsor relationships.
- Proactively sell new sponsor packages.
Other
- Coordinate public relations strategy, write and distribute press releases
- Write copy for promotional Web sites and e-mail campaigns
- Work as pivot team member for events, publications, assist with projects as needed.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in marketing, sales, public relations, non-profits.
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Understanding of database systems from user perspective. Experience with iMIS a plus.
- Technology skills: social media, Skype, SMS/text, more.
- Working and active Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, Twitter a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Contactology and/or MailChimp.
- Creativity, initiative, strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work quickly and independently.
- HTML skills.
- Multi-lingual skills a plus (notably Spanish).
- Good inter-personal skills for working remotely with association staff, volunteers, members, and sponsors.
- Appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills.
- Ability to compile data accurately.
- Ability to initiate, plan and manage projects and meetings.
