Job Functions The Memphis Parts Distribution Center (PDC) is a fast paced operation which provides direct aftermarket parts support to DTNAs dealer and distribution network. The PDC ships an average of 12000 lines per day to over 200 separate locations and receives an average of 1800 lines and 20 truckloads of inventory per day as well as processing all dealer returns. Oversee all aspects of the organizations TOS and continuous improvement effort. Obtain Green Belt certification and facilitate Six Sigma projects. Effectively manage the organizations suggestion system. Drive CI events and large CI workshops and perform data mining to seek CI opportunities. Develop a high level of expertise in TOS/CI methodology and techniques. Perform cost analysis and justification on suggestions and other CI opportunities. This position will require occasional travel to other DTNA locations and/or to other external operations for benchmarking and training opportunities. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree OR Associates and two years of experience OR eight years of Daimler experience AND one year of group lead, supervisory OR project lead experience is required. Preferred Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in TOS and a demonstrated ability to apply TOS tools and methodology, Six Sigma certification is a plus. Applicants need to be proficient in quantitative and analytical analysis. Operational experience, specifically in a distribution environment,.
