Menu Development Chef Job in West London, London Uk

Calling all Hestons!!

I am recruiting for a Sous Chef for a large scale caterer based in West London.  Working with the organisation's Head Chef, your specific focus of Menu Development will revolve around inventing, planning and testing of Asian / Far Eastern dishes to be served for their customers. 

The nature of the busines is serving transient customer bases and a working knowledge of cooking and storage of food stuffs for consumption at differing times, whilst ensuring the quality of the meal does not diminish is critical.  Preferably you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience of testing products for the travel sector and be qualified in areas which this form of industrial catering has it's particular challenges. 

You will have worked as a Sous Chef previously and be competent with all aspects of design and introduction of menu plans and recipe cards, demonstrating techniques and training staff to deliver the finished product.  Experience of costings, portion control and resourcing of suppliers is essential.  Consequently you will have excellent communications skills and most importantly a passion for food!
