Maintain merchandise cost structure, availability and inventory.  Price merchandise in accordance with program guidelines and manage client service level agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Work with Business Loyalty team members on award and merchandise needs by program

·         Establish and maintain strong working relationship with clients directly when needed

·         Analyze and select awards and merchandise by degree of profitability, popularity, continuity and appeal.

·         Responsible for managing all elements of our relationships with suppliers including transaction terms and conditions, contracts, returns, marketing income, volume incentives, product selection and assortment planning and product availability.

·         Negotiate pricing and terms for merchandise

·         Communicate with internal team members of inventory status/delivery

·         Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and attend local trade shows

·         Assist and respond to customer service inquiries as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree  (Finance or Accounting a plus) or equivalent experience

·         3-5 years Merchandise Buyer experience mandatory

·         Travel program merchandise buying experience needed

·         Excellent business communication skills and financial aptitude

·         Strong negotiation, organization and time management skills

·         Strong relationship building, negotiation, understanding of financial implications, and inventory management
