Merchandiser
Merchandiser - Retail Sales (1446)
Accountable for traditional merchandising responsibilities (distribution, display, stock management). Recommends set-ups and merchandising (racks, displays) and suggests/writes orders at store level. Typically calls on and makes recommendations to grocery supervisors and small, local customers within their assigned geography.
Responsibilities:
- Support and continuously develop relationships with current deli partners
- Coordinate activities required to support new store openings, re/grand openings and/or store conversions
- Notify deli managers of upcoming demos and promotional activites, utilizing them to increase sales
- Ensure point of sale (POS) materials are in place
- Maintain and update route list
- Keep account specific authorizations lists, updated as needed
- Participate in trade marketing meetings
- Attend periodic HQ calls with Region and Account Managers
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, decision-making and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 1 to 2 + years retail sales experience preferred
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, effective relationship with customers and functional groups.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license required with a good driving record.
