Mergers & Acquisitions Associate recruitment
Job Summary:
Financial analysis and modeling with respect to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions globally. Assist with project management activities including due diligence and internal governance process. Functional Responsibilities:
- Financial analysis and modeling.
- Preparation of effective powerpoint presentations with responsibility for the quality of content.
- Screens potential business opportunities originating from internal and external sources.
- Assists in proactively researching the financial services/insurance market, understand competitive situation and identify new opportunities.
- Prepares research packages on acquisition candidates and perform preliminary analysis.
- Monitors media for potential MA opportunities and other relevant news.
- Prepares memorandums and presentation materials for internal governance process.
- Facilitates due diligence process for various MA projects.
- Prepares information memorandums for divestitures.
- Monitors deal progress and work to maximize results throughout the deal.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of the standards and methodologies utilized in the acquisition process.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervisory responsibilities, but requires ability to lead and motivate project team members that are not direct reports, as well as providing work direction to lower-level staff members. Typical Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in finance, accounting or related field.
- 2-5 years relevant business experience.
- Highly experienced in excel, powerpoint and financial services databases.
