Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Manager

Deloitte's Merger Acquisition (MA) Transaction Services practice is the leading provider of services to many of the largest private equity and strategic buyers in the marketplace. Deloitte Tax MA professionals provide corporate and private equity buyers with a broad continuum of advisory services to support mergers, acquisitions, carve–outs, investment and financing structures, divestiture planning and post–transaction integration activities.  Working with clients before, during and after the transaction, tax professionals work with client personnel across corporate functions such as tax, finance, treasury, human resources, operations, information technology and risk management to analyze and evaluate the tax profile and to implement planning designed to help meet each organization's global goals, strategies and business objectives.We are currently seeking Managers for our MA Tax practice.  This position involves the ability to identify and understand complex tax issues through reading financial statements, term sheets, purchase agreements, client correspondence and tax returns, and to evaluate the business, financial and accounting implications of such tax issues as they relate to specific transactions.   MA Tax Managers have in–depth, first–hand experience in a variety of industries. They must be familiar with the tax consulting process and the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, development and implementation of solutions to meet clients' tax needs. In addition, they direct complex tax research, formulate tax–planning strategies and perform tax reviews.  Successful candidates will have an opportunity to expand tax research skills via extensive tax research involving complex technical tax issues across a broad spectrum of federal tax law (e.g. Subchapter C, Subchapter K, consolidated returns, tax accounting methods, taxable and non taxable transactions, executive compensation, etc).Deloitte is one of the leading professional services organizations in the United States, specializing in audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services with clients in more than 20 industries.
