And we are looking for a stellar Metallurgical Manager to help work with our clients on their most pressing projects!

The primary function of the Metallurgical Manager is to ensure efficient and orderly operations of all aspects of the Metallurgical Department. This position will provide a leadership role in the department, and is responsible for monitoring and maintaining department throughput including revenue, EBIT, on time delivery, and quality. The Metallurgical Manager will work in compliance with safety rules, company policies and procedures.

What you need for this position:

- Must have good mathematical knowledge
- Must have experience in forging or castings.
- Must be experienced in interpreting testing procedures and requirements
- Demonstrated success in Excel and Word programs
- Motivated, proactive individual with good interpersonal skills. Ability to work with individuals and customers at all levels in a variety of locations.
- Availability, flexibility and maturity to represent the company with vendors and customers.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs within the department.
- Ability for strong detail in following procedures and test protocols.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Bachelors Degree in Metallurgy

What you'll be doing:

- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining daily workload (backlog) and turnaround time in Metals Department.
- Responsible for organizing and scheduling work for metallurgical technician(s).
- Ensures all work is performed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory agencies’ requirements.
- Responsible for overall Quality program throughout entire Metals Department.
- Responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategy, including: expanding testing capabilities to new markets, reviewing/approving all quotes, evaluating and implementing pricing schedule, and managing relationships with key customers.
- Provides direction and technical decision-making for management involving capital asset purchases and expenses for projects and or/strategic initiatives.
- Responsible for monitoring and following safety procedures within the departments to conform to appropriate regulatory and company standards
