Salary: c£16,400 dependant on experience maybe more for the right candidate
The Role: Metallurgical Technician / Metallurgy Technician
Entry level position, ideal opportunity for a Candidate to develop a career with a world leading manufacturing Company and receive comprehensive training.
Company carries out metallurgical development work in support of customers. Reporting to the Research Engineer, the Technician will execute a range of laboratory and workshop tasks, to support the development program.
Key Areas:
Workshop scale metal processing:
The Technician will learn to operate various facilities required to process samples of metal in support the development program, and then execute the processing of materials in a safe; disciplined; and accurate manner.
Metallography.
The Technician will learn to operate various facilities required to prepare and examine metallurgical samples, and to record and report information arising from this work.
Product Knowledge.
In conjunction with theoretical training, and Company training on the company's product range, the Technician will build an understanding of the relationship between the observations and data arising from workshop and laboratory work, and the performance of the company's current and emerging products.
The Candidate: Metallurgical Technician / Metallurgy Technician
Must have 2 a-level in Maths Science
Ideally a HND in metallurgy or materials science.
Previous experience gained in a manufacturing / engineering or laboratory environment would be ideal.
Wiliness to undertake training.
