Job Description:
We are recruiting for a QA METALLURGICAL ENGINEER that possesses strong technical experience in all facets of metallurgical practices including heat treatment, NDT disciplines of MT, UT, VT, welding, ISO guidelines, and vendor management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as the facility technical lead on issues relating to QA metallurgy
- Ensure metallurgy practices comply with ISO guidelines
- Manage and participate in mechanical and/or metallurgical testing in accordance with specified standards and/or other instructions
- Review test results and evaluate acceptability based on previous history, application, and other technical factors
- Identify and resolve deviations or variations from required test specifications and instructions
- Prepare and submit test reports to management
- Coordinate welding tasks
- Oversee the welding certification program
- Provide constructive recommendations for:
- Product performance
- Malfunctions
- Failures
- Breakdowns
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- 5 – 7 years experience as a QA Metallurgical Engineer
- Solid experience and knowledge of metallurgical processes including but not limited to:
- Serve as the technical lead for QA metallurgical issues
- Heat treatment
- NDT disciplines of MT, UT, VT
- Welding (coordination of welding practices and certifications)
- Vendor management
Education:
Bachelors Degree in related technical field
Level III NDT Certification
