Metals Manufacturing Engineer

Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Metals Manufacturing Engineer on a temp to hire opportunity with a leading company in Boise who has been established since 1969 and has a reputation built on quality, innovation and service. In this position candidates will have to plan, design, arrange, change, optimize, and supervise the manufacturing processes. The main responsibility of this position is to create, document, develop, and implement procedures using equipment and fixtures required to assemble, test, process, and manufacture. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing processes Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality and cost reduction Collaborate with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods Working closely with manufacturing to develop, coordinate and implement technical training for employees Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of welding processes and procedures Improve present manufacturing or production processes to boost productivity, quality, and profitability Research and purchase new manufacturing technology Work in collaboration with the engineering department to better production equipment functionality SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS: Knowledge of manufacturing concepts Must be a good communicator Ability to prioritize multiple projects Strong project management skills Computer literacy: Basic skills with MS Word and Excel; Strong CAD Inventor proficiency Experience in LEAN Manufacturing preferred PREFERRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Experience with most fabricating processes using Punches, Press Brakes, Shear, Router, Plasma, CNC and Laser Experience with assembling processes including welding (Arc, Sub, MIG, TIG) and mechanical fastening Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Manufacturing Minimum7 years experience in a manufacturing setting If you are interested in this opportunity or other opportunities available through Adecco Engineering and Technical, please apply online or email directly to megan.
