A physical commodities trading house is seeking an experienced Commodities Product Controller to join on a permanent basis. The successful candidate must have relevant experience in working as in a commodities product control position and be motivated to develop their career within a commodities house.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation review of daily profitability reporting for the physical metals desks.
- Resolving issues in daily movements in profitability positions with traders.
- Understand all daily PL adjustments and ensure relevant documentations of these are available.
- Proactively involved in process improvements and system integrations for the desk.
Skills/ Knowledge:
- Essential - Commodities Product Control experience - Ideally Metals
- Experience in daily interaction with traders and strong analytical/ Interpretation skills
- Accounting accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable
- Strong Excel Skills (Pivots and V-Lookups) and ideally Access skills.
This opportunity is a very hands on position and due to the size of the team their is realistic opportunities to gain management responsibility in the future. Its is imperative that you have strong interpersonal skills as the role requires daily interaction with the front office.
