JOB STATEMENT
As a Master Data Specialist of the Global Master Data Management team, the Employee is responsible for all activities related to master data for MCT units globally and supporting all other teams to ensure that User Support Use Management (sub-unit of Global IM organization) goals and schedules can be met in master data and other related areas.
The MD Specialist will attend to commercial item harmonization by cleansing item database and creating new commercial items, based on requests from various sites. Globally defined rules needs to be followed, and coordination needs to be done with different units world-wide.
Main responsibilities of Master data team includes following:
• Master Data Maintenance service to MCT users and locations including mass update changes and uploads
• Coordination of global data harmonization process and policies
• Provide support to EAP team in migration activities
• Selected centralized maintenance activities, e.g. material replacements, maintenance of selected material global data
• Ownership management of data maintenance practices and tools
• Overall responsibility on global data quality
RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to the Manager, Global Master Data Management via Master Data Maintenance team lead
- Interfaces with all GIM team members, as well as various levels of employees in the MCT organization.
To be successful in this position you should have:
• Overall knowledge of product data maintenance and material harmonization
• 2-3 years of experience of IT and business/industry work experience, with minimum of 1 year of PDM-related item-competence experience
• B.Sc. degree in Engineering
• Understanding of custom codes and other standardization related to material harmonization
• SAP PDM knowledge will be a plus
• Ability to work in international environment
