About Macquarie Infrastructure Real Assets
MIRA, a division of Macquarie, is a leading global alternative asset manager specializing in investments across infrastructure, real estate, agriculture and energy. MIRA manages 48 funds with $US43 billion of equity under management across 25 countries (as of March 31, 2013).
Overview of Position
Macquarie is seeking to recruit a Desktop Publisher / Graphic Designer to be part of its MIRA business in New York. The individual will provide creative, graphics and marketing support to MIRA's various funds, covering the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
The role will report to the Global Head of Communications for MIRA, who is based on London, and the Head of Investor Relations for the Americas, who is based in New York.
With exceptional technical and layout design skills, expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and experience in a fast-paced environment producing presentations and other marketing materials, you will:
- Create and format presentations, flyers, newsletters and brochures using Macquarie's suite of templates and asset-specific custom designed PowerPoint layouts and Word templates
- Create templates and format time-sensitive documents such as RFQs and RFPs in Microsoft Word
- Create and modify graphics where necessary using MS Office or Adobe Creative Suite applications
- Review final layouts and suggest / implement improvements as needed
- Format tables, diagrams and graphs for use in Powerpoint presentations and other reporting materials
- Liaise with external printers and other suppliers to coordinate and produce quarterly reporting documents for the various Funds
- Provide assistance with general Microsoft Office requests and template troubleshooting
- Uphold corporate branding to ensure consistency with Macquarie's style guide
Essential Skills:
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (PPT, Word, Excel)
- Advanced knowledge in Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
- Experience developing and using templates within the Microsoft Office environment and ensuring these templates are efficient, as well as being easy to understand and use
- Ability to constantly produce and format presentations and pitchbooks in tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and work independently
- An exceptional eye for detail, layout and consistency
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Quick learner with good problem solving skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a corporate in-house design / presentation / document preparation environment
- Experience in the Financial Services environment
- Experience with HTML and website content management systems
