As an award winning provider of Fund Administration, custody and trustee services to a niche range of clients globally, our client, having cemented it please among the top level of its peers, is now seeking to develop their intellectual capital and delivery from a Client Services perspective surrounding their Fund Accounting dept and thus are seeking to retain the services of a highly competent and strong Fund Accounting Assistant Manager to continue the development of their excellent Fund Administration expertise on an initial 11 Month Contract.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure adherence to all established procedures and controls.

• Establish service standards for assigned client groups ensuring standards are shared with and understood by team members and all internal support groups (Operations, etc.). Institute measures to report on performance toward meeting these standards.

• Establish and maintain relationship objectives with Global Relationship Sales Managers (GRSM), including a strategic client service plan to ensure exceptional value and service is provided to Global Custody clients.

• Serve as an escalation point for client service issues and deliverables.

• Work closely with GRSM to identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services. 

• Improve the profitability and revenue stream of primary accounts through innovation, efficiency driven automation, introduction of new products and timely collection of aged receivables. 

• Remain knowledgeable of changing industry initiatives and products and services and communicate new developments to clients. 

• Establish appropriate contacts across all levels at clients’ organizations.

• Ensure all client legal, tax and documentation related issues are appropriately documented.

• Maintain a leadership role by developing internal relationships with key players in other departments to accomplish goals and resolve issues.

• Participate in internal cross-departmental committees and project teams. 

Leadership/People: 

• Cross-train staff on Fund Accounting procedures to develop depth and breadth of knowledge.

• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff to improve individual and team performance.

• Complete and oversee the completion of the annual performance review process.

• Oversee promotion recommendations and compensation adjustments for direct reports.

• Manage performance issues and disciplinary process for employees failing to meet team expectations.

You will be tertiary qualified and will have gained at least 5 years Fund Accounting experience ideally with exposure to either Mutual or Hedge. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills as client interaction will be a large aspect of the position.
