Mgr - Production Maintenance

Tyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP) is a business unit of Tyco Safety Products. Job Summary:
 
Tyco Fire Protection Products is currently looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Manager.
 
The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the supervision and operation of the Maintenance Department including, assigned personnel, work assignments, approved programs and special projects.   He/She directs the maintenance activities to ensure manufacturing process effectiveness.
 
Essential job responsibilities:
 
Work with both production and engineering teams in developing solutions for program improvement opportunities, reducing downtime and in prioritizing equipment building, installation and repair.
 
Ensure that equipment is properly maintained to meet production schedules and quality standards.  Analyze maintenance problems, devise and implement a plan of action.
 
Assume a leadership role with maintenance department, ensuring that employees get proper training, guidance and feedback.
 
Responsible for management of maintenance budget.

Education/Experience
 
BS Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing
 
Five or more years progressive experience in leadership
 
Extensive project management leadership experience
 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
 
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma and 5S

Technical Skills:
 
Lead and direct technical teams and individuals to drive results
 
Capital project management
 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 
Root Cause Analysis techniques and six sigma, continuous improvement activities including 5S and Lean methodologies.
