Northrop Grumman's Cyber Intelligence Division (CID) has an immediate need for a Manager of Business Development for our Airborne ISR Systems Business Unit (AISR BU). The Manager of Business Development (BD) will serve as a business development executive for Airborne ISR Systems, and will perform the tasks essential to the identification, qualification, and capture of new business opportunities. The selected candidate will be responsible for BD opportunities consistent with the organization's strategic and operational plans with focus areas that include: development and production associated with large, medium and small airborne SIGINT and broader ISR payloads; integration of multi-INT airborne ISR capabilities; ISR-related processing, exploitation and dissemination; and QRC efforts for rapid integration and support of emerging mission requirements. The BD Manager will focus on penetrating Combatant Commands, Restricted Community, International customers,

QRC-oriented DoD agencies and other adjacent markets and should have experience in developing customer relationships in these areas. He/she is expected to travel 20-40% of the time, basing at CID's Annapolis Junction facility.

The BD Manager will expand the BU new business pipeline, with responsibility for qualifying, pursuing and capturing major (-500M) program opportunities. The successful candidate must be proactive and execution-oriented in his/her approach toward business development. He/she must have a strong understanding of Business Development Operations to ensure that tier 1" BD institutional discipline is consistently applied within the organization. He/she must be capable of broad, strategic thinking with respect to emerging customer needs, competitive positioning, and requisite capabilities, with the ability to guide the organization towards the strategic and tactical actions necessary to optimize probability of go" and win" for the BU. In doing so, will develop and execute growth strategies, manage the new business pipeline, identify and qualify new business opportunities, establish pursuit priorities and develop successful capture plans.

As part of their business development responsibilities, the candidate will ensure the Division, Business Unit and Operating Unit management are kept informed in a timely manner for decision making and that the functional areas and the capture managers are adequately prepared to advance through the BAP. The candidate is responsible for assisting the OU Directors in developing and implementing action plans consistent with mission area strategy. He/she will efficiently manage NGC resources to perform icustomer engagements, teaming strategy sessions, technical solution development, competitive analysis, position/price-to-win and pricing strategies; The Candidate is expected to brief Division- and Sector-level management on high-dollar and priority-win captures.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position candidate must have:

  • Demonstrated customer intimacy and experience with Combatant Commands, Restricted Community, International and QRC-oriented DoD and Intel Community organizations ;
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field and have a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant recent experience in business development, capture, line management and/or military experience;
  • Adequate understanding of SIGINT and broader ISR-related systems, their attributes and operation in the field;
  • Flexibility to travel overnight 20-40% of the time:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with senior level management;
  • Current TS//SCI clearance - with the ability to obtain a full scope poly clearance;
  • Leadership experience, with a record of achieving planned objectives;
  • Knowledge of and experience with military operations;
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment across functional organizations to manage change.
