Responsibilities:

Plans and directs activities of a complex nature to assure that the dimensional, material and visual characteristics of the product's design, as documented on drawings, specifications and quality standards are consistently produced, and that products of acceptable quality are sent to the customer. Performs within the guidelines and standards of TE Connectivity Quality Management System and follows all procedures to maintain registration for ISO 9001 and AS9100. Responsible for managing the Product Quality Engineering organizations, including product quality, process control and overall quality management systems are capable of meeting customer requirements.


Requirement
:

1. Direct local quality engineering team consisting of quality engineers, techs, and auditors on a daily basis.

2. Direct the review of customer specifications and/.or drawings to determine compatibility with TE drawings. Assures consistent compliance to customer quality specifications, certifications, testing and other contractual requirements.

3. Coordinates the resolution of any special quality, test or certification requirements in cooperation with Product Engineering assuring overall agreement between TE and customer drawings.

4. Develops and implements quality improvement plans, programs and procedures using continuous improvement techniques including statistical quality control, TEOA lean concepts and Six sigma.

5. Coordinates the investigation of problems and develops disposition and corrective action for the discrepancies.

6. Change agent to drive cultural change in total quality management that involves employees at all levels within the plant and across functions.

Qualifications:

BS in related engineering discipline

10 yrs. experience in quality function

ISO9001/AS9100 internal auditor

US citizen

Demonstrated ability to direct identification of root cause, drive improvement and resolve problems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well with internal and external customers and with other cultures.

Willingness to participate in teleconference meetings early morning or late evening to accommodate other time zones.

Proven six-sigma and lean experience is highly desirable.

Proven leadership and managerial experience.
