 Assist in the creation and support the strategy for medical communications in assigned therapeutic area/brand(s) in alignment with business targets
 Support the timely delivery of high quality medical communications plan components, such as publications, abstracts, scientific posters, medical trainings, and toolkits
 Help substantiate claims for NCH-products. Based on clinical data and published literature, propose new claims for NCH-products
 Participate in the medical review and approval of promotional materials and other scientific communications.
 Help to defend NCH-products in challenges from competitors and provide support to challenge competitors’ claims
 Build up advocacy to support his/her therapeutic area/brand(s) by recruiting and maintaining relationships with key advisors and scientific thought leaders
 Co-manage key vendors who support the development of the promotional medical activities
 Contribute and maintain updated information in the knowledge management tool OTCAskMe and Sharepoint repository
 Support development of training initiatives for Marketing, Sales, and the Call Center
 Provide medical input to Exploration Requests and Integrated Development Plans on new projects in his/her therapeutic area/brand(s)

MD, PharmD or PhD with at least 1-3 years of experience within the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry. Previous Medical Affairs experience desired as well as knowledge and understanding of consumer needs and attitudes, customer groups, and key opinion leaders. Ability to collaborate effectively with RD, Marketing and other internal customers. Personal characteristics should include a real team orientation, entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership qualities in order to champion Novartis’ OTC products from a medical standpoint. Comfortable in being challenged and challenging others. Bright, positive, articulate, creative, with excellent collaborative and communication skills. Must also have strong verbal/written communication skills, and excellent presentation skills. Ability to influence, initiate, and accept change, and address questions and issues. Demonstrates exceptional follow-through with respect to tasks and projects.
