About the Opportunity
The Direct to Consumer Business Development Manager is a sales position responsible for business development of new accounts within specific categories of the Direct to Consumer vertical. The role is responsible for prospecting acquisition of medium to large consumer clients as new members of the respective Abacus Alliance and new users of survey and compiled data for direct mail, email, and online display needs.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Calls on prospective clients, compiles sales proposals, give product demonstrations sells features benefits of Alliance membership. Involves gathering key business requirements formulating presenting customer focused Abacus solutions.
- Negotiates contract terms pricing. Facilitates contract generation completion. Facilities post-sale process to achieve timely smooth acquisition of client housefile data. Works closely with internal departments senior management to close execute sales strategy.
- Coordinates with account management staff to facilitate smooth transition timely revenue generationÂ
- Responsible for achieving assigned acquisition goals
Responsible for forecasting and continuously updating prospective client pipeline and status reporting to management on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, Marketing or Sales required.Â
- Minimum of 5 years of related sales experience in client facing sales role and/or direct marketing in a multi-channel environment.
- Sales success with medium to large accounts involving presenting selling to all levels of individuals in various organizations.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving revenue and operational targets
- Experience in applying analytic solutions to maximize return
- Strong communication skills including collaborating, negotiating, persuading, public speaking, and listeningÂ
- Must possess excellent solution selling, communication and client management skills
- Ability to identify and escalate new business opportunities with existing clients
- Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong organizational knowledge of Epsilon Targeting and understanding of Epsilon Targeting products
