Join the Northrop Grumman Information Systems team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to join our Applied Communication Systems team in Dayton, OH.

The Applied Communication Systems (ACS) team has been working with the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) for more than 30 years conceptualizing, prototyping, demonstrating, and transitioning advanced concept full spectrum systems that include communication, navigation, and EW systems.

The emerging defense environment requires solid understanding of customer needs and innovative solutions. As a member of the Northrop Grumman ACS team, you will help to provide our warfighters with state-of-the-art, net-centric, flexible, and robust solutions for communication, navigation, and electronic warfare/cyber systems.

The Senior Program Manager:

Leads a business area composed of 4-5 programs in the achievement of financial goals

Manages a team of 4-5 program managers and support staff.

Performs program oversight for the business area insuring excellent program execution

Leads the business area team in the development and capture of new business opportunities

Establishes a trusted relationship with each customer team, and insures the program managers do the same

Interfaces seamlessly with NG senior management.

Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills

Very energetic and projects a friendly, positive attitude and works cooperatively in a multi-faceted environment; exhibits an ability and desire to self-educate

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree in Engineering, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field

10+ years technical / management experience

Experience in program management,

Experience in the development of New Business.

Experience in collaborating with employees within a department and across functions.

Demonstrated ability to grasp complex issues, independently formulate analysis and proposed solutions, lead people, manage complex activities, manage risks and opportunities, brief issues and represent the company well to the customer.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in engineering

Acquisition experience with DoD.

Earned Value Management experience

Systems engineering experience a plus.
