- Accountable for the delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects ensuring scope, schedule, and quality objectives are attained.
- Ensures quality standards through effective use of delivery methods and standards.
- Effectively applies methodologies and standards.
- Collaborates with business and technology leads to build well-structured project plans that segment projects into pre-defined phases.
- Establishes a common understanding of project timelines, milestones, and expectations on delivery utilizing expert communication and leadership skills.
- Provides direction to project resources, monitors development efforts, assembles key project deliverables, and intelligently identifies issues requiring escalation when reporting project status.
- Minimizes exposure to risk which could impact schedule, cost or quality.
- Monitors change requests and prevent unapproved requirement modifications that result in scope creep.
- Communicates project implementation options that affect cost, schedule, quality and risk to stakeholders, as well as other recommendations based on these elements.
- Direct the effective execution of tasks/processes on a project.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
- Keep senior management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
- Determine methods and procedures on new assignments, and provide guidance and assistance to senior project manager.
- Demonstrate judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for a project.
- Serve as an expert in-house project consultant.

- Lead business analysts on a per-project basis in extracting requirements for the external stakeholders, internal business representatives, and software development teams.

- Collaborates with the Business Relationship Manager when interfacing with external business partners, internal business area experts, business analysts and software development teams.
- Sets expectations among these groups regarding scope, timeline and quality of deliverables.
- Works effectively with all groups to build work breakdown structures (WBS), develop project plans and update project status.
- Assists in identifying the skills and resources needed for each stage in the project lifecycle. Provides resource requirements per project and motivates and manages those resources over the project duration.
- Generally works without consulting his or her manager.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing various sub-teams on large scale application delivery projects, or end-to-end management responsibility on smaller projects (
- Project Management Certification (PMP) or global equivalent (i.e. PRINCE2).
- Experience with project management tools:
- MS Project,
- Rational Portfolio Manager,
- CA Clarity PPM, Open Workbench,
- HP Quality Center Load Runner
- Familiarity with other software management tools:
- CA Service Desk Manager,
- MS Team Foundation Services,
- Infragistics
- Functional understanding of one or more of the following business areas:
- Application delivery experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Package applications using Oracle HCM, Oracle Financials, Oracle IPM, or SharePoint
- Custom applications using C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, PilatMedia IBMS, or Xytech Enterprise
- Possesses strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations
- Proven exceptional written and oral presentation and communication skills.
- Prior involvement with high-visibility projects and managing multiple projects concurrently
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change
- Experience in established delivery methods

- Experience in established software delivery sizing and effort estimation
