MI Analyst/Manager

Overview:

A global bank is seeking an MI Analyst/ Manager to help support and deliver essential performance management information across to senior stakeholders in the business. You will be accountable for the development maintenance of reporting various data sources relating to risk management. This is a 6 Months contract paying up to £225 per day. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in using SQL.

Job Duties:

· Develop and implement MI to meet evolving reporting requirements
· Utilise appropriate tools to develop new MI outputs, ensuring practical automation of processes and efficient extraction and manipulation of data
· Data mining potential areas of concern/opportunity and providing analytical insight from the resulting data findings
· Proactively review MI reporting processes and implement process improvements to ensure optimal use of MI
· Undertake ad-hoc MI analysis as required by Business Quality and Operations Director and other senior stakeholders
· Ad hoc and regular reporting for Risk performance and business management
· Turn data into strategic presentations for senior management
· Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in outputs
· Understanding of key Risk metrics and activities
· Knowledge share with team to maintain fluid use of MI in the function
· Ensure MI data integrity is regularly validated.
· Attend meetings to represent Risk department
· Engage subject matter experts when appropriate
· Manage to balance pressures to both deliver on objectives and also ensure appropriate senior stakeholder engagement and sign off

Technical Skills:

· Highly skilled using industry standard data Analytics tools
· Operational reporting and measurement
· Data interrogation and manipulation
· Batch and real time transactional systems
· Full understanding of MI development principles

Knowledge:

· Strategic and technical development of MI and Data Analytics solutions
· Operational Data Management
· Technical knowledge of infrastructure and data warehouse processes and design principles
· High level Stakeholder management and communication track record
· Personal adaptability to take on ad-hoc deliverables.

Essential Experience:

· Experience of working in an MI / BI capacity within a bank / blue chip organisation
· First rate analytical skills with the ability to comprehend and present valuable insight from complex data sets
· Operational DB management, SQL querying and MI production
· Experience of working in a highly visible, delivery-focused and fast paced environment
· Process improvement and streamlining experience
· Able to translate complex technical material and present to Business stakeholders.
· Management of stakeholder relationships and strong communication skills
