MI Management Accountant recruitment

Key Responsibilities
•Ownership and production of monthly Management Accounts for the Executive Committee, including understanding key drivers to explain monthly and quarterly movements
•Involvement in the monthly income statement Flash process for Senior Management
•Production of various reporting packs to senior management, such as soft revenue Locational reporting
•Processing of central journals and adjustments to Management Accounts
•Maintain accruals and expense balances on a monthly basis
•During month end process, regular reviews of the incentive schemes cost base to ensure management are fully updated on expected monthly costs
•Reconciliations between Management Accounts and Statutory Financial Accounts prepared under IFRS
•Apply technical skills and management accounting knowledge to critically assess current state processes and re engineer prioritised improvements
•Building up and maintaining good relationships with the wider finance team
•For project based work, bringing different functions (with separate agendas) together to seek consensus on requirements and approach
•Value-add work

Other
•Active involvement in driving the Central MI function forwards by challenging current processes, and remaining focused on control
•Review existing MIS produced and offer suggestions to improve
•Strengthen existing management accounting knowledge in the team
•Key requirement to be execution focussed with good attention to detail, and able to manage and deliver projects simultaneously
•Due to the fluid nature of the current environment, flexibility and a proactive mind set are essential
•Extensive liaison within Finance (both locally and internationally)
•Ad hoc senior management reporting with significant in depth analysis required
•Advanced Excel essential, VBA preferable. Good PowerPoint skills required

Experience/ Qualifications Required:
•Very strong MS Excel skills
•Exposure to financial reporting within a structure multi-national environment
•Management reporting experience including preparation of reports, delivery to clients, and non standard reporting
•Experience in managing interdepartmental relationships will be an advantage
•Experience of TM1 or equivalent multi dimensional reporting tool will be an advantage
•Experience with MS Access, and SAP will be an advantage
•Work as part of a team while proactively and independently servicing a client
•Able to work to deadlines, execution focussed
•Able to work within a fluid environment, reacting to events and juggling multiple work streams and priorities
•Showing attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Degree
•Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferable
