MI reporting manager

Our client is a leading provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human capital and management consulting.

They currently have an exciting opportunity to join the finance team which will provide you with a solid career path within a reputable company.

You will have responsibility for assisting the establishment and maintenance of a strong financial control framework and support the Financial Controller in producing management information, board packs and assessing oversight, governance and controls around the financial reporting process.

Areas of focus include:
* Significant support to the production of the external results documents, including commentaries and data presentation
* Assisting to maintain and improve the monthly close process
* Assisiting with all UK statutory reporting (including UK subsidiary accounts and RACE analysis)
* Ensuring a proactive approach to the identification and management of Financial Control issues or weaknesses
* Driving consistency of IFRS policies and application of changes to disclosure requirements for the clients businesses
* Responsible for managing and communicating the clients timetable and instructions
* Managing direct reports
* Supporting the Financial Controller

A suitable candidate will require the following experience and qualifications
* Professionally qualified accountant with post qualification experience in practice or industry
* Strong financial background preferably in insurance
* Track record in delivering to tight deadlines under pressure
* Understanding of the market's latest thinking and development in finance knowledge,
* Knowledgeable about financial reporting issues, demonstrated by: experienced gained in the technical departments of major firms or large and complex organisations
* Advanced report writing
