Position Description:

The Prolitec Aerobiology and Infection Control Division is seeking to establish a new laboratory that will focus on the development of advanced technology antimicrobial systems. We are seeking a microbiologist responsible for planning and executing investigations necessary for developing new products and establishing evidence of product efficacy, toxicology, chemistry, and environmental compatibility.  This leadership position will also be responsible for supervision of a small, growing scientific team, interdepartmental product development coordination, interfacing with regulatory counterparts, and technical support throughout the full product lifecycle.

 

Position responsibilities:

·       Staffing and management of the scientific team

·       Support Company and Division strategic planning

·       Develop new product concepts

·       Define product requirements

·       Design and conduct investigations necessary to support new product development

·       Conduct requirements verification

·       Manage product regulatory registration processes

·       Transition products to production

·       Respond to product technical questions

 

Position Requirements:

Advanced degree in microbiology or related field with demonstrable technical supervisory and lab management experience. 

 

Desired:

PhD in microbiology with experience in bacteriology, virology, and mycology; 5+ years experience in technical leadership, new and GLP lab setup, EPA pesticide regulatory compliance experience,  and the ability to support periodic short duration (typically 1-2 days) travel.
