Microbiology Lab Technician Pay rate: $16.00/hr. Temporary contract until 12/31/2012 Job Description: Responsibilities: ? Sets up, operates and maintains laboratory instruments, monitors experiments, makes observations, calculates and records results, and often develops conclusions. ? Knowledge and experience in microbiological methods is required. ? Performs microbiological testing of special projects and perform investigative test analysis as required. ? Assist in document/protocol preparation, execution, report generation, analytical method development, statistical data analysis ? Under general supervision following SOPs and special test designs; analyzes test data and completes required documentation. ? Performs equipment maintenance, understands lab safety involving bio-waste and is a team player. Individual will perform qualitative and quantitative microbiological analysis ? Individual must be familiar with basic scientific principles and has had some laboratory experience. Requirements: ? Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology or related science is required ? Can follow written direction and maintain a laboratory notebook. Has good communication skills and is computer literate. ? Knowledge of GMPs, GLP, FDA, and OSHA knowledge is helpful *This position is currently on a morning shift (7:30am-4pm). The hours may change into an evening shift from (2-10:30pm).
