Microprocessor Product Design Engineer

We are looking for a Microprocessor Product Design Engineer who desires to participate in the total design process, a take charge person for the process. The successful candidate will:

1. Review the current design and determine the best design strategy to accomplish product compliance.
2. Present a written design plan including all levels and stages of engineering projects to include:
a. New or modified bill of material for design review.
b. Present/Schematics and theory of operation for design review.
c. Perform final product cost estimates for marketing review.
d. Submit “Cost of Design” to management group for review.
e. Present design timeline (Gantt chart) to include all design phases.

4. Consult with Quality Control to develop and implement the QC test and inspection procedure.
5. Work with manufacturing personnel to assist in design, build and implement test equipment.
6. Communicate with manufacturing and QC personnel to review manufacturability and quality issues.
7. Review any field or customer concerns with compatibility or product quality.
8. Learn and understand the scope of the industry standard Underwriters UL.

Experience and Education should include:

* BSEE or BSCE from accredited University/College.
* 7 + years, experience in a design position.
* Ability to program microcontrollers.
* Understanding of analog to digital conversion.
* Understanding of Microcontroller interface with analog circuitry.
* Understanding of analog circuitry.
