Microsoft Infrastructure Architect
CSC, one of the world's most innovative and successful IT services firms, is looking for candidates to help grow our talented consulting team. We are looking for Microsoft Infrastructure Architects who will be responsible for managing client projects in the areas of Windows 7 and Office 2010 migrations and deployments. This person will be developing and implementing the latest Microsoft Infrastructure Solutions, such as:
- Win XP and Win 7,
- Windows Server 2003, 2005, 2008,
- Active Directory,
- Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010,
- MOM, SCOM, SMS, SCCM
- Hyper-V,
- Unified Communications / OCS
- Must have demonstrated abilities to quickly master new technologies.
- Work with clients and other team members to architect and develop Microsoft Infrastructure Solutions.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance for project teams and junior team members.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and multi-tasking capabilities
- Engage the client as a trusted advisor.
- Be capable of managing projects and large programs for deployment / migration of Microsoft Infrastructure components
- 10 plus years experience in providing IT solutions.
- 5 years experience in Microsoft Infrastructure Deployments / Migrations
- Proven track record of enterprise level design and deployment of Microsoft Infrastructures
- Strong consulting experience in analysis, design and architecture,
- Engage the client as a trusted advisor and quickly gain credibility
- Work independently, managing your own schedule and priorities.
- Persistence and tenacity in managing client needs to deliver according to the Statement of Work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be successful in a team environment and lead teams
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in current/past positions
- Lead facilitated requirements gathering sessions
- Translate business requirements to technical solutions
- Microsoft certifications (especially in Win 7) a plus
- IT related Bachelor Degree preferred
- Experience with virtual desktop technology from Microsoft, Citrix and VMWare a plus

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Seven or more years of consulting experience with technical architecture strategy and design
- Experience working with CSC Catalyst and/or equivalent client or vendor-mandated methodology
- Experience working with capacity planning concepts for systems of all sizes and complexities
- Experience working with technical trends to assess the future direction of technology
Other Qualifications
- Five to eight years of additional relevant experience in two or more technical specialty areas
- Strong skills in one or more of the following: vision and strategy (VS), business area architecture (BAA), iterative custom development (ICD), package-based development (PBD), and accelerated application development (X/AD)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity
- Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and CSC
