Define and deploy plans to leverage Proofpoint’s superior technology within the Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 sales community
Develop and execute strategy to educate Microsoft field and influence Microsoft Online Specialists
Represent Proofpoint value propositions and solutions to resellers and other partners
Plan, coordinate, and deliver in-person and web-based solution overviews and product demos
Work closely with Proofpoint’s Channel sales and marketing organization to set channel partner targets, increase pipeline, and review progress
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplace
Meet or exceed Microsoft bookings revenue quota
Channel Sales or Field Sales experience with Microsoft’s field organizations in North America
Channel Sales experience with Microsoft Resellers and Systems Integrators
Channel sales experience with email security, data loss prevention, archiving, eDiscovery, or Cloud/SaaS-based solutions
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s value
Must be organized, detail and process oriented
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues
Ability to coordinate Proofpoint resources to execute a complex sales strategy
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web conferencing tools
Ability to use CRM and other on-line tools effectively
BA/BS or equivalent preferred
5+ years successful channel sales experience in related field
Existing relationships within similar markets is preferred
Position requires travel in 2 or more weeks of each month
Position reports to EVP Business Development with dotted line to North America Channel organization.
Position works closely with Proofpoint North America Field organizations
