JOB TITLE: Microsoft Reporting/MS – SQL DBA
Summary:
Individual in this role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing MS-SQL Database, Loads, Stored Procedures and reporting. Must have the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues. Must be well rounded in all aspects of data loads, data modeling and reporting.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Experience using Microsoft t-sql to create queries, load and update data. Knowledge of common formatting and transformation functions.
- Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for ETL.
- Ability to write and debug SQL views, stored procedures and functions.
- Report development for SQL Server Report Services (SSRS) in Visual Studio 2005/2008.
- Basic SharePoint experience.
- Strong data lineage and analysis skills.
- Some basic performance tuning understanding (query syntax, index construction, etc…)
- Basic understanding of the SQL Server job system.
Some basic data modeling experience: key relationships, cardinality, etc
Education and/or Experience:
- Have 5+ years of professional IT experience
- Be able to lead the technical implementation of technical projects
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well with others in a collaborative manner with minimum supervision
- Is a proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to quickly assemble the big picture. Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills including crisis management and resolution
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimum supervision
- Ability to define, create and complete a technical task without a great deal of guidance
- Must be capable of working flexible hours sometimes under pressure of aggressive deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, communicate task status clearly and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members working remotely from various US and global locations
- Must have strong technical foundation and strong problem solving skills
