Mid Level Structurer/ Equity Derivatives Flow Desk/ New York/ $Very Competitive- New Role recruitment

With increasingly large numbers of macro and relative value strategies executing their views and hedges through exotic payoffs, this is an exciting opportunity to bridge the gap between structuring and strategy.

Responsibilities:-

Your role will involve

- Pricing exotic derivatives (either pure equity, or hybrid structures)

- Elaborating and testing strategies.

- Developing new and innovative products to answer the market needs.

- Equity Volatility Strategy (mainly single stocks)

Requirements:

Very good postgraduate degree in a numerical discipline (e.g. maths, physics or engineering)

Ability to communicate articulately and succinctly, as the role will involve significant interaction with the groups sales team.

Strong background within Equity Derivatives obtained within a bank or similar institution in a structuring capacity.

Must have experience working on single stocks and basket products.

Hybrid exposure advantageous.

Ideally you will have between 2-3 years experience but they are prepared to be flexible either way for the right candidate.

Your technical skills and understanding of equity derivatives exotics will be assumed. The stand out candidates will be those who are able to think with a buy side mentality, develop strategies to take advantage of market dislocations, and think of optimal ways of executing the strategy with the vast array of payoffs the desk is able to price and manage risk on. In addition, having the personality to be able to communicate and explain these ideas and strategies to the sales people will be very advantageous.

This is a role with a huge amount of potential. It is an area of the front office that is not well defined, and that is what makes this role have a very broad scope. This role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the PnL of the flow franchise.
