Software Development Engineer (SDE - Mid-Sr. Level Experience)
Prototyping, Microsoft Dev Stack
This is an agile, flexible, performance driven team working on interesting problems that can impact millions of customers in a diverse space. The team is working on prototyping internal ideas to improve existing applications or create new applications based on internal employee suggestions. The Software Developer must be able to work from a simple idea and expand on that to create the full product in support of prototyping and proof of concept work being driven by the team. They need to be comfortable working with Directors and collaborating with peers in brainstorming sessions to flush out the structure and features of the prototype product.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with a variety of people (PM, Dev, Architect) to determine the best way to tackle a particular problem, go off and implement that solution. The work is mostly proof of concept and prototype driven, but may involve things that are directly exposed to customers.

Requirements:
Software Developer Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of managed code on a deep level.
- Development skills for multiple types of applications with various languages.
- Web services.
- Prototyping, Microsoft Development Stack experience.
- Communication to both tech and non-tech individuals.
- 4 plus years work related experience preferred. Relevant technical expertise required.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Moderate level skills in multiple areas such as C#, ASP.NET, C/C++, SQL Server 2008, Win 32 API, MFC, COM is preferred.
- Experience across multiple tires of development involving low level, embedded, middle and front end such as TCP/IP, WinCE and multi-threading is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field required.
- Master's degree is preferred and may substitute for up to 2 years of related experience.
