Middle Office Accountant recruitment


Company Overview:
Our client is a diversified 'Global' Financial Services Company with significant operations in Sydney, London and Chicago. The team is currently looking for an exceptional Middle Office Accountant to provide comprehensive support to the trading desks.

Key Responsibilities:
The Middle Office Accountant will be responsible for reconciling daily positions and generating PL reports, along with:
• Reconciliation of positions, trades, cash and FX
• Daily production of PL's, Liquidity and Credit Usage reports and short selling positions
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Forecasting and monitoring the capital and liquidity requirements of the trading business

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to think laterally

Experience Qualifications:
• Minimum 2-3 years relevant Finance / Middle Office / Operations / Product Control experience within a financial markets business
• Understanding of derivatives, securities pricing and reconciliation procedures
• Experience in OTC derivatives management
• Experience with corporate actions
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts
