Middle Office Executive with VBA skills recruitment
Day to day operational trade support and NAV reconciliation
- Responsible for day to day operations procedures including NAV reconciliations. Products traded include: Equities, Bonds, Repos, Futures and OTC derivatives.
- Other responsibilities to include reset processes, counterparty collateral management, confirmation processing and Cash Management, expense payments, trade bookings, cash and Position reconciliations
- Respond proactively to requests for information and clarification from fund administrators on a variety of queries from, counterparty brokers, custodians and other agents
- Enthusiastically support the Investment team and Sales teams in their request with ad hoc queries.
- Contribute to positive development of the middle office.
Performance attribution and benchmark reporting
- Support and ultimately assume responsibility for the production, review and on-going development of the attribution reporting suite developed on the middle office software and excel platform.
- Assume responsibility for the update and production of counterparty risk and liquidity exposure management reports
- Ownership of the production and delivery of the fund tracking error reports against reference portfolio models.
Requisites:
- Knowledge and experience of post execution trade lifecycle management, including settlement, confirmation, trade capture, reconciliation, pricing, valuation and NAV calculation.
- Experience of following product types, FX, Equities, Bonds, OTC Derivatives, ETF’s and UCITS and UCIS vehicles.
- Experience in participation of the design and automation of new processes and procedures, specifically writing excel based macros, scripts in VBA and building interfaces between excel and off the shelf middle office software. Applying same skill set to remediation and enhancement of existing processes and procedures to facilitate automation, flexibility and scalability.
Desired Skillset:
- The candidate will have relevant experience in a middle office environment in Banking, Asset Management or Hedge Fund environment.
- Previous roles will have exposure to most if not all the key responsibilities outlined in the job description.
- Ideally two and three years’ post graduate experience in a similar role.
- The role requires energy and enthusiasm and will need to balance the need to liaise and communicate effectively with business management and the recipients of the middle office output.
