Middle Office, Fixed Income & Derivatives recruitment

 The responsibilities of the position in the Fixed Income and Fixed Income Derivatives area would involve:

• confirming daily trade activity with the street

• handling trade exceptions and settlement issues

• performing position reconciliations with prime brokers and counterparties

• serving as liaison with front office on all operational related issues, including ad-hoc requests

• justifying daily profit and loss - mark to market and net carry

• assisting in performing weekly and monthly independent price testing for non-exchange traded financial products

• interpreting and processing corporate actions

• handling implementation of new systems and applications, as required

Products traded include:

• Government Bonds

• Corporate Bonds

• Sovereign Debt

• Emerging Market Bonds

• Repo

• Interest Rate Swaps

• Swaptions

• Foreign Exchange

• Foreign Exchange Options

• Credit Default Swaps

Job Requirements: 

The ideal candidate will not only solve day to day issues, but will take a proactive approach to improve the process and create greater efficiencies. In addition the candidate will have:

• 2-5 years experience in fixed income/derivative middle office or trade support

• Experience supporting a fixed income trader or trading desk

• Clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge in the securities and market conventions for the securities mentioned above under products traded

• Strong problem solving skills

• Strong organizational skills and possess attention to detail

• The ability to give constructive feedback to management

• High proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite

• Murex knowledge a plus

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
