As a Middle Office Securities Documentation Manager you will be responsible for management of strategy, policy, documentation for the Santander Corporate Commercial and Business Banking Securities Middle Office team.

As a Middle Office Securities Documentation Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

* Solicitor qualification ACIB or is highly desirable (although a legally trained or experienced banker with considerable securities experience would be considered.)
* A thorough knowledge of Securities for Advances, attained through the study of Banking Law and Practice with the Institute of Bankers or as a Property Solicitor. A specific knowledge of Law and procedures for the completion of Scottish/Northern Irish documentation and securities would also be valuable, but not essential.
* Knowledge and practical experience of lending and security documentation. Knowledge and experience of documentation of specialist products such as Asset Finance, Trade Services and Invoice Finance would also be beneficial but not essential.
* Appreciation of document control via Hot Docs (or similar) is essential; practical experience of setting up and using the application would be beneficial but not essential.
* Well developed interpersonal/communication skills both written and oral, together with experience training/planning procedures.
* PC skill including a good knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel to facilitate the use of computerised Securities system and any regular or adhoc MI reporting.

As a Middle Office Securities Documentation Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

* Review and approval of Security Policy. Articulation and presentation to Heads of Group Legal and Group Risk in order to get their sign off. Dealing with objections from Senior Management in SCCBB or Geoban.
* Providing a Security helpline to Front Office (over 500 staff), Panel Law Firms and Group Risk. Middle Office Security Documentation team are the first point of contact for complex or non standard security queries
* Setting the policy and standards for, and the oversight of, operational management of all securities for SCCBB ensuring that the bank suffers no loss through imperfect security.
* Responsible for the maintenance of all documentation on Hot Docs and the controls ensuring document accuracy and completeness, and the communication and training of the same to the Front Office.
* To act as the Relationship Manager for SCCBB Panel Solicitors in respect of Securities and Documentation and to directly own key relationships
