Technical Skill Set:
· IBM Websphere (Application Server, ND, Portal, MQ) – Mandatory
· IBM Websphere (WESB, WPS, WSRR) - Would be an asset
· JBoss ESB - Mandatory
· IBM HTTP Server - Mandatory
· ColdFusion – Would be an asset
· Reporting Tools (BusinessObjects, Crystal Reports) – Nice to have
Role/Responsibilities:
The Middleware / Web Services technical consultant will be responsible for the following:
· Assess and implement of Websphere and JBoss ESB middleware applications
· Work with systems delivery teams to ensure proper development processes and infrastructure are in place to support the business solution
· Assist the system delivery teams in developing and implementing middleware
· Identify options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
· Create logical and innovative solutions to technical problems
· Install, maintain, and document server installed applications
· Perform system administration and configuration tasks for implementations
· Troubleshoot (diagnose resolve production issues)
Technical Skills Required:
Mandatory
· Experience in building, deploying and administering WebSphere Application Server solutions
· Experience in building, deploying and administering JBoss ESB solutions
· Working knowledge of supported web server technology (IHS Web Server,)
· Problem determination skills to identify and ability to resolve supported application software issues
Would be an Asset
· Knowledge of one or more Web and J2EE Application Servers (JON, JRUN, Apache Tomcat) and/or .Net infrastructure
· Knowledge of ColdFusion MX web development skills including knowledge of HTML, Javascript, XML, Java/J2EE, SOAP, Web Services
· Familiarity with J2EE programming model and SOA
Nice To Have’s
· Knowledge of one or more Reporting Tools (BusinessObjects, Crystal Reports)
· Good understanding of enterprise deployment and architecture of fault tolerant systems
· Familiarity with Java development and technologies such as JSPs and Servlets
· Demonstrated success in systems administration or application delivery roles
Non-Technical Skills:
· Comfortable with working in an environment with a high degree of multitasking

· The ability to follow internal systems processes
· Ability to work with customers, technical, and management staff as well as other company staff

· A good understanding of network principles such as load balancing, firewalls etc.
Education Requirements: College Degree and 5 yrs relevant work experience
