Mine Geologist – Hardrock
An opportunity has arisen for a Mine Geologist to join a newly created team for an owner operator working out of Mt Isa. Working on a 8/6 roster you will enjoy the benefits of this roster with FIFO back to your home.
Your responsibilities for this role are but not limited to
- Conduct grade control activities
- Plan all sampling
- Ensue correct sample procedures/protocols followed
- Map development
- Enter sampling data into database
- Collate, enter and present geological production data
- Draft mapping onto plans and mapping weekly
- Assist to update geological and mineralisation models with development and production data
- Liaise with engineers for short term scheduling
- Assist with correct design of development
- Report geology and grade control activities
- reconcile ring report
To be successful in this role you will have
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Underground mining exposure and experience
- Exposure to Access, excel and Surpac is advantageous
The salary for this role is in the range of 100k to 130k plus benefits depending on relevant experience. Applicants outside this salary range with considerable experience will be considered
