Due to their continual growth and success, the company is now seeking an experienced Mine Geologist to join them in their exciting new chapter of production.

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Mine Geologist will play an integral role within the team, with the primary focus of providing daily mine geological services to the open pit operations. Key accountabilities will include:

• Implementation of grade control functions
• Conducting wireframe/resource modelling
• Utilising Grade Control software to provide the data analysis required in order to formulate ore specific reports
• Performing geological mapping whilst supervising a team of junior technicians
• Providing assistance to the Senior Mine Geologist as and when required.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in Geology accompanied by demonstrated previous experience in an open pit mining environment. You must be proficient in the use of Surpac and/or other relevant geological software to be successful in this role.
